About the Role
ECI is seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant to support the successful deployment of Amper, our manufacturing visibility and machine monitoring solution. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong project management, technical implementation, and manufacturing operations knowledge with a highly customer-focused approach.
The Implementation Consultant will lead customers through the post-sale onboarding journey, from kickoff through go-live, ensuring Amper is configured, installed, and adopted effectively within each customer’s environment. This person will serve as a trusted advisor to manufacturers, helping them determine the best approach for hardware placement, machine connectivity, shop floor setup, and software configuration to maximize operational value.
Success in this role requires someone who understands how manufacturing machines work, can communicate confidently with plant leaders, operators, IT teams, and engineers, and can guide customers through both the technical and operational aspects of implementation. An engineering background and comfort working in industrial environments are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Own customer implementations from post-sale kickoff through successful go-live, ensuring projects are delivered on time and aligned to customer expectations.
- Serve as the primary implementation lead and trusted advisor during onboarding, installation, configuration, and early adoption.
- Assess customer manufacturing environments and recommend effective approaches for hardware placement, machine connectivity, and system setup.
- Advise customers on how and where to connect Amper to manufacturing equipment based on machine type, operating environment, and production workflows.
- Work directly with customer stakeholders including plant managers, manufacturing engineers, maintenance teams, IT teams, and operations leaders to ensure successful deployment.
- Configure software and support customers through setup, testing, validation, and training.
- Partner with customers to align Amper’s capabilities to their specific manufacturing processes, business goals, and reporting needs.
- Lead implementation project plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and communication across multiple stakeholders.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and operational challenges during implementation, escalating when needed.
- Support integrations and data flow discussions between Amper and customer systems, including ERP, MES, or other manufacturing software where applicable.
- Deliver user enablement and training to help customers achieve fast time to value.
- Document implementation requirements, technical decisions, configurations, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Support to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Provide feedback from the field to Product and Engineering teams to improve implementation processes, product usability, and customer outcomes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of implementation playbooks, documentation, and scalable onboarding processes.

Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in a customer-facing implementation, solutions consulting, technical account management, solutions engineering, industrial engineering, or similar role.
- Experience working in or with manufacturing environments is required.
- Strong understanding of shop floor operations, industrial equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to understand how machines operate and advise on practical methods for connectivity, hardware deployment, and implementation in production settings.
- Engineering background preferred, such as manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading complex implementations involving multiple stakeholders and timelines.
- Proven ability to manage several projects at once while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Technical aptitude with software systems, system configuration, integrations, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with manufacturing software such as ERP, MES, or machine monitoring platforms is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with systems such as Epicor, SAP, Plex, JobBOSS, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working directly with customers onsite and remotely in industrial and production environments.
- Highly organized, proactive, and customer-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with industrial hardware, sensors, gateways, or machine connectivity solutions.
- Knowledge of CNC, fabrication, injection molding, or other discrete manufacturing environments.
- Experience coordinating across operations, IT, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
- Familiarity with implementation methodologies, customer onboarding frameworks, and change management.
- Experience using CRM and project management tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
- Ability to analyze implementation progress and customer outcomes using dashboards, reports, and data-driven metrics.
