Workday Financials Systems Analyst

Location: Westlake, TX

At ECI Software Solutions, we’re passionate about helping small and medium-sized businesses compete and grow through technology. The Workday Financials Systems Analyst plays a key role in that mission by supporting and optimizing ECI’s Workday Financials environment.

This position sits within the Finance and Accounting team and is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and performance of Workday Financials as it relates to ECI’s core financial operations. The Workday Administrator will partner closely with Finance and Accounting leaders, as well as IT, to optimize Workday Financials functionality, streamline end-to-end financial workflows, and ensure accurate, timely financial data across the organization.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Westlake, TX office and will be required to work onsite two days per week.


Key Responsibilities

System Administration & Optimization

  • Serve as the primary system administrator for Workday Financials, with a strong focus on financial configuration, controls, and performance.
  • Configure and maintain Workday Financials business processes, approval chains, and integrations aligned with accounting and finance operational requirements.
  • Support and maintain integrations between Salesforce and Workday, ensuring accurate data flow related to billing, revenue, and customer-related financial activity.
  • Manage Workday Financials security roles and permissions to maintain internal controls and support SOX and audit requirements.
  • Partner closely with IT to support Workday Financials upgrades, testing, and change management efforts.

Financial Data & Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Workday Financials reports, dashboards, and analytics for Finance, Accounting, FP&A, and leadership teams.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes by validating data accuracy and reconciling Workday Financials outputs to general ledger and subledger balances.
  • Provide actionable financial insights using Workday reporting tools and Prism analytics.
  • Ensure ongoing data integrity, consistency, and audit readiness across all Workday Financials modules.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to identify and implement process automation and efficiency improvements within Workday Financials.
  • Act as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, IT, and other stakeholders to support cross-functional financial system needs.
  • Troubleshoot Workday Financials issues, escalate to Workday support as needed, and drive timely resolution.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials to support consistent and effective use of Workday Financials.

Governance & Compliance

  • Support SOX compliance and internal control frameworks through appropriate role-based access, workflow governance, and documentation.
  • Maintain audit documentation related to system changes, access controls, and financial workflows.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as a Workday Financials system and data subject matter expert.
  • Stay current on Workday Financials releases and new functionality, evaluating impact and implementing relevant enhancements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Workday Financials.
  • Prior accounting or finance experience, with a solid understanding of general ledger, financial close, and core accounting processes.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems in a mid-size or enterprise SaaS environment.
  • Experience working with Salesforce, particularly in relation to financial data, billing, or revenue-related integrations, preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced knowledge of Workday Financials configuration, reporting, and controls.
  • Strong accounting and financial acumen, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Workday Financials certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Experience supporting multi-entity and/or global financial operations.
  • Working knowledge of financial consolidations, intercompany transactions, and audit readiness.
  • Limited exposure to other Workday modules (e.g., HCM or Payroll) is a plus, but financial systems expertise is the primary focus.
